On January 17, 2022 from 6pm – 9pm, we will be offering a virtual instructor led Hazmat Awareness for EMS Providers course.  This 3 hour course meeting the WVOEMS requirements for annual Hazmat training, titled Hazardous Substances: Exposures and Encounters, will provide an overview of what Hazardous substances are and how to identify them, levels of training required for various Hazmat responses, how hazardous substances affect the body, resources available to first responders when dealing with Hazardous materials, and actions initial responders should take on these types of incidents.  Ben Tacy is the course instructor.
