Emergency Medical Responder (EMR)
This course emphasizes the skills needed to provide basic emergency care during the first phases of an emergency. The course is 72 hours of classroom and practical training in all aspects of initial response to a medical emergency. To receive certification by WVOEMS as a First Responder participants must successfully complete practical skills evaluations, and pass the computer-based National Registry cognitive (knowledge) test. Recertification is required by National Registry every two years.

Dates: Tuesday, February 11, 2020 through April 9, 2020 Tuesday and Thursday
Time: 5:30 PM – 9:30 PM

Upon successful completion of the course, you will be eligible to take the certifying exams.
Absence allowance is 10% of the total class hours = 7 hours. Make up of missed classes will be at the discretion of the course instructor.
