WVPST Clarksburg will be holding an open house on January 4, 2023 from 6:00pm – 7:30pm for anyone that may be interested in learning about joining our cadre of emergency services instructors.  WVPST is a statewide program under the West Virginia Department of Education (WVDE) Division of Adult and Technical Education, with the primary purpose of providing educational opportunities for the emergency services community.  Utilizing a cadre of part-time instructors, our region serves approximately 7,000-8,000 students annually through EMS, fire service, technical rescue, hazardous materials, incident command system, and lay rescuer (first aid/CPR/AED) courses.  This open house will provide the opportunity to speak with WVPST regional office staff and existing WVPST instructors as we discuss some of the key aspects of our programming, the process to obtain a WVDE teaching permit in fire and/or EMS, and the benefits of teaching with us.  If you can’t make the open house but want to speak with us, reach out to Mike Freeman or Brian Potter in the WVPST Clarksburg office at 304-326-7581 and we will be happy to discuss options with you.
