SUMMARY:WVPST Clarksburg Instructor Recruitment Open House
DESCRIPTION:WVPST Clarksburg will be holding an open house on January 4\, 2
 023 from 6:00pm - 7:30pm for anyone that may be interested in learning abo
 ut joining our cadre of emergency services instructors.  WVPST is a state
 wide program under the West Virginia Department of Education (WVDE) Divisi
 on of Adult and Technical Education\, with the primary purpose of providin
 g educational opportunities for the emergency services community.  Utiliz
 ing a cadre of part-time instructors\, our region serves approximately 7\,
 000-8\,000 students annually through EMS\, fire service\, technical rescue
 \, hazardous materials\, incident command system\, and lay rescuer (first 
 aid/CPR/AED) courses.  This open house will provide the opportunity to sp
 eak with WVPST regional office staff and existing WVPST instructors as we 
 discuss some of the key aspects of our programming\, the process to obtain
  a WVDE teaching permit in fire and/or EMS\, and the benefits of teaching
