Water Rescue Level 1
A Water Rescue Level 1 class will be hosted by the Petersburg VFC. The required swim test will be on Thursday, July 19, 2018 at 5:30 pm at the community pool in Petersburg. The class will meet Saturday and Sunday, July 21 and 22, 2018 at Petersburg VFC starting at 8:00 am each day. Ed Sankbeil is the instructor. Prerequisites: Rescue Core Prerequisites, NFPA 1006 Chapter 5 OR WVU-FSE Rescue Core Course, and Rope Rescue Level 1, NFPA 1006 Chapter 6 OR Rope Rescue Low Angle Operations. Participants must also pass a swim test. Participants must provide verification of prerequisite training. Participants must provide a swift water helmet and PFD. Wetsuit is optional. Course fee is $45. Book is provided for use for $10 rental or can be purchased for$30.
