This 20-hour course series in vehicle rescue is being conducted at Montcalm VFD, Montcalm, West Virginia.  Class starts May 20, 2022 at 6:00 pm and May 20 – 21, 2022 at 8:00 am.  David Thompson, Jr. is the instructor.  

Vehicle Rescue Awareness

This 4-hour class meets NFPA 1006 Ch.8, 2017 edition for Vehicle Rescue Awareness. The textbook is “Vehicle Rescue and Extrication: Principles and Practice” 2nd Edition, by Jones and Bartlett. The same textbook is used for Vehicle Rescue Awareness, Operations and Technician classes. There is no required prerequisite training.

Vehicle Rescue Operations

This 16-hour class meets NFPA 1006 Ch.8, 2017 edition for Vehicle Rescue Operations. The textbook is “Vehicle Rescue and Extrication: Principles and Practice” 2nd Edition, by Jones and Bartlett. The same textbook is used for Vehicle Rescue Awareness, Operations and Technician classes. Prerequisite training is Vehicle Rescue Awareness OR Public Service Training Rescue Core Prerequisites.

TUITION is $35 per student for Awareness and $35 per student for Operations. Textbook is $80.

PREREQUISITES: To complete Vehicle Rescue Operations, you must have completed Vehicle Rescue Awareness or Core Rescue.
