Passenger Vehicle Awareness and Operations

A passenger vehicle awareness, operations, and technician course (meets NFPA 1006, 2021 edition) will be held at Star City VFD (Monongalia County) on August 1, 2, 8, and 9, 2026. Class times 8am – 6pm. Jimmy Glasscock is the lead instructor. Students will need to come prepared to class sessions with PPE appropriate for vehicle rescue.
Cost for the class is $150 tuition and the course textbook will be available at a cost of $85 each. Course fees include IFSAC certification for the awareness and operations levels (no written test required), and then for those wanting IFSAC certification at the technician level the testing fee is $25 per person.
