Fire Officer 1 and 2
A 48-hour Fire Officer 1 and 2 class will start on Wednesday, September 12, 2018 at 6:30 pm at Augusta VFC. The class will meet on alternating Wednesdays and Mondays from 6:30 to 10 pm. The instructors will offer an online option. Participants can choose to attend classroom lectures or complete online lectures. This is an either/or choice and the choice must be made no later than the first day of class. Online participants must attend some classroom sessions. All participants are required to complete a significant amount of classwork outside of scheduled classes. Travis Combs and Jason Judy are the instructors. This class combines the requirements for Fire Officer 1 and Fire Officer 2. Participants who successfully complete the course will receive certificates for Fire Officer 1 and Fire Officer 2. Someone already having Fire Officer 1 must attend the entire class to certify for Fire Officer 2. Fire Fighter 2 is a prerequisite for Fire Officer 1. Participants must provide verification of prerequisite to receive certification. Tuition is $45. Books are $120. Online fee is $220, which includes the book.
