DESCRIPTION:Fire Officer 1 and 2\n\nA 48-hour Fire Officer 1 and 2 class wi
 ll start on Wednesday\, September 12\, 2018 at 6:30 pm at Augusta VFC.  T
 he class will meet on alternating Wednesdays and Mondays from 6:30 to 10 p
 m.  The instructors will offer an online option.  Participants can choos
 e to attend classroom lectures or complete online lectures.  This is an e
 ither/or choice and the choice must be made no later than the first day of
  class.  Online participants must attend some classroom sessions.  All p
 articipants are required to complete a significant amount of classwork out
 side of scheduled classes.  Travis Combs and Jason Judy are the instructo
 rs.  This class combines the requirements for Fire Officer 1 and Fire Off
 icer 2. Participants who successfully complete the course will receive cer
 tificates for Fire Officer 1 and Fire Officer 2. Someone already having Fi
 re Officer 1 must attend the entire class to certify for Fire Officer 2. F
 ire Fighter 2 is a prerequisite for Fire Officer 1. Participants must prov
 ide verification of prerequisite to receive certification. Tuition is $45.
