The course requires a clinical component to be completed outside of class hours during which you will ride along with an EMS agency to complete 10 patient assessments. These assessments must be completed in order to obtain WV certification as an EMT.  You will receive more information on the clinical component during the class.

Upon successful completion of the course, you will be eligible to sit for the National Registry of EMTs exam, with the initial exam attempt being included within the course tuition.  This test will be scheduled at your convenience at a Pearson Vue testing center.  If seeking certification in a state other than WV, you will not need to complete the WV certification process/fees, and will simply need to pass practical testing and NREMT examination before proceeding with the certification process in your desired state.

Absence allowance is 10% of the total class hours = 15 hours. Make up of missed classes will be at the discretion of the course instructor.

Course fee is $650 and includes: tuition, textbook, pocket mask, access to EMS testing program, and 1st attempt NREMT exam voucher (upon successful completion of course requirements).  State of WV licensing fees are separate and are the responsibility of the student if seeking WV certification.  Course fees, or an authorization to invoice agency form, MUST be submitted at the first class session.

TO REGISTER: Fill out the course application below, and submit with a $50 application fee to the WVPST Clarksburg office.  This fee can be paid via check or money order payable to “MSESC”. The $50 application fee will be counted towards the total course tuition.  Pre- registration for this class is required.
