Public Service Training – Clarksburg will be conducting a blended learning course for initial Emergency Medical Technician. This blended – learning Emergency Medical Technician course will cover the content necessary for students to sit for the practical skills and cognitive examinations for EMT certification. If you are a self-motivated, goal oriented student who enjoys being challenged, then this is a great educational opportunity. If you are looking for an easy route to EMT Certification, then this course is NOT for you. Students must have a personal e-mail account, computer, and high speed internet access.
CLASS MEETING DATES: The class will begin on Sunday April 14, 2019 from 9a-5p at Flemington EMS, Flemington, WV (Taylor County) to obtain course materials and begin course instruction. Other dates that the student will be required to be at Flemington EMS are April 20, May 18, June 1, 15, and July 13, 27, 28. Students who do not attend all of these dates will not be eligible to test. Students must complete online course work prior to attending face-to-face session, with the exception of the first class. Failure to complete assigned coursework will result in being dismissed from the course.
At the conclusion of the course, students must successfully pass the practical skills evaluations and may schedule to take the NREMT (National Registry of EMT’s) examination (computer based, scheduled by student).
This course includes a clinical rotation that will be scheduled by the student outside of classroom hours and must be successfully completed before testing can occur.

TUITION & ASSOCIATED COSTS – tuition and lab fee will be $750 which includes textbook and on-line access. Fees must be paid by the first class date with cash, money order, or company/department checks made payable to “MSESC.” Payment may also be made by credit card online at: https://mountainstateesc.com/services-and-resources/public-service-training/north-central-pst-payment/ . Please note that this fee is non-refundable.
Other costs associated with this course include a $120 to WVOEMS to cover fingerprinting/background check and initial certification fee.
PRE-REQUISITES: Students must be at least 16 years of age.
