Low Angle / Basic Ropes (16 hours)
This course will focus on knots, low and high angle rope rescue set-up, lifting and lowering systems and mechanical advantage systems utilizing rope techniques. This is achieved using a mixture of classroom and field exercises. This course is excellent for the basic rescuer to gain the basic skill-set in dealing with low angle rope situations. Low angle rescue is terrain that has a slope angle from 15 to 45 degrees. The condition of the terrain will determine the need for the type and amount of rope support required.
