EMERGENCY SERVICES INSTRUCTOR 1 & 2

This 50-hour course will be conducted at Bridgeport Fire Department in Bridgeport, WV (Harrison County).  Class dates will be August 23, 26, 30 (virtual session); September 4, 5, & 12, 2024.  Class times will be 8:30am – 4:30pm.  You must attend all class sessions, and complete all of the required assignments in order to successfully complete the class.  This class meets the NFPA 1041 standard, and meets the required instructional methodology content of the WVDE in order to obtain an adult teaching permit for fire and/or EMS instructor.  Successful completion may lead to employment as an instructor with WVPST, however, is not a guarantee.  Students must have a reliable computer and access to reliable internet.  Lead instructor will be Brian Potter.

TUITION: $280.00 per registrant which includes the course textbook and access to the learning management system

PRE-REQUISITES and REGISTRATION: Requirements for PST instructor, EMT – 4 years of field experience, current West Virginia EMT certification or higher, high school diploma or high school equivalency, and current BLS CPR instructor; Fire Service – 4 years of field experience, Firefighter 1 and 2, Hazardous Materials Operations, current CPR card and current First aid, WV EMR, WV EMT or WV Paramedic.  Students must have access to a computer in order to utilize the learning management system and successfully complete course assignments.  See the links below for additional information:
