A combined rope rescue awareness and operations class (24 hours) will be held at Parsons VFD (Tucker County) on April 16, 22, & 29, 2023. Class will meet 9am – 5pm each day. Tom Klus is the lead instructor. Participants should come to class each day with long pants, boots, gloves, helmet, and eye protection. Students must attend all class sessions in order to successfully complete the class.
Course tuition is $70. The course textbook, Rope Rescue Techniques: Principles and Practice 5th Edition, is not required at the awareness/operations level, however, if participants wish to purchase it, they may do so at the first class session for a cost of $80. Those wishing to purchase a book need to notify the WVPST office at the time of registration so books can be available.
