RESCUE CORE PREREQUISITES WITH ROPE RESCUE LEVEL 1
This 40 hour Rescue Core Prerequisites with Rope Rescue Level 1 course includes coverage of the NFPA awareness level requirements for operating in the technical rescue environment, as well as the general job performance requirements found in Chapter 5 of the 2013 Edition of NFPA 1006, Standard for Technical Rescuer Professional Qualifications. This course presents in-depth coverage of structural collapse, confined space and trench rescue, vehicle rescue, and water and wilderness rescue, allowing rescue organizations to approach any rescue situation safely and confidently. This course will prepare you for further training in the more specialized and advanced skills necessary in various technical rescue disciplines, and is required prior to taking any of the other technical rescue courses. Students successfully completing this course will also obtain Rope Level 1 certification NFPA 1006, 2013 edition.
This course is being conducted at Granville Fire Department, Granville, West Virginia (Monongalia County). Class dates and times are September 8, 12, 17, 22, 24, 26, 29 from 6 – 10 pm on weekdays and 8 hour days on Sundays starting at 9:00am. John Lemley is the instructor.

TUITION is $45 per student. The textbook, “Rescue Core Prerequisites” will be loaned to the student for a $10 fee, but it may be purchased at a cost of $70 each. Please make checks or money orders payable to “MSESC” or “Mountain State Educational Services Cooperative”.
