Fire Officer 1 and 2
A Fire Officer 1 and 2 class will be held at Friendship Fire Company in Harpers Ferry, WV starting Saturday, March 3, 2018 at 9:00 am. The class will meet Tuesday and Wednesday evenings starting at 7:00 pm, and Saturdays starting at 9:00 am for the 48 hours of classroom instruction. The class will meet March 3, 6, 7, 10, 13, 14, 17, 20, 21, 24, 27 & 28. Participants are required to complete a significant amount of classwork outside of scheduled classes. Donald Longerbeam and Ronnie Shutts are the instructors. This class meets NFPA 1021, 2014 requirements for Fire Officer 1 and Fire Officer 2. This class combines the requirements for Fire Officer 1 and Fire Officer 2. Participants who successfully complete the course will receive certificates for Fire Officer 1 and Fire Officer 2. Someone already having Fire Officer 1 must attend the entire class to certify for Fire Officer 2. Fire Fighter 2 is a prerequisite for Fire Officer 1. Participants must provide verification of prerequisite to receive certification. Tuition is $45. Books are $120. Class will be cancelled if minimum enrollment numbers are not met.
