This training is in three modules. An ‘ATV Rider Course for Emergency Responders’ class will be taught Friday 8/25 from 6-10 pm. On Saturday 8/26 at 9 am a ‘UTV Driver Course for Emergency Responders’ will be held with the focus on the use of ATV in emergency response. Sunday 8/27 9 am ‘ATV and UTV Rescue Course Scenarios’ will be conducted. All sessions include classroom training scenarios and field exercises. Classes focus on rider safety while being able to place these valuable pieces of equipment at the emergency scene.
Students must provide their own ATV and Safety Gear. The course has limited availability. Enrollment is first com-first served. Participants must be a member in good standing with a WV fire Department. Participants must contact Chief Green at Canaan Valley Vol. Fire Department at 304-866-7450. Instructor Craig Horn
