CLASS IS CANCELLED DUE TO LACK OF INTEREST
This 2 day course is designed to teach participants more in depth knowledge about aspects of the water can and it’s use on the fireground. Topics covered will include proper care, maintenance, filling procedures, and tactical considerations during alarm investigations, search and rescue, and fire control while a hand line is being stretched. The course will include classroom instruction, scenarios, and live fire evolutions. Class will meet at the burn facility at United Technical Center on Saturday November 4 and Sunday November 5, 2023 from 9am – 5pm each day. Jimmy Glasscock is the lead instructor for the course.
Course pre-requisite is Fire Fighter 1 certification (must bring certificate copy to the first class session).
All participants must be clean shaven, and must bring full structural PPE, SCBA, and spare SCBA cylinder both days of the class.
Course cost is $100.
