This 20 hour course will help hone in your fire ground search and rescue skills. Course topics and skills will include search of large structures, searching ahead of hand-lines, searching off hand-lines, fully involved structures versus survivability profiling, VES, and use of thermal imaging cameras. Day 1 will include hands on skills in a non IDLH atmosphere, and Day 2 will include many live fire search operations. Full structural FF PPE along with SCBA and spare cylinder are required. Class dates have been rescheduled to December 7 & 15, 2024 from 8am – 6pm each day. Class location is Bridgeport Fire Department, Bridgeport, WV (Harrison County).
Students should bring lunch and plenty of water to keep hydrated both days.
Cost is $150 per student.
