Search and Rescue on the Fireground

This 20 hour course will consist of a four hour lecture/discussion and sixteen hours hands on skills of victim search and rescue, the fully involved structure fire vs. survivability profiling, techniques of searching ahead of hose-lines, searching off hose-lines, oriented search, thermal imaging cameras [TIC]. Class dates are April 18 from 6-10pm and April 20 and 21 from 9am – 5pm. Class location is the burn training facility at United Technical Center.
Saturday class will all be hands on walking through different scenarios turnout pants, structural gloves, helmet and safety glasses at minimum will be required this day
Sundays class will be hot-drill scenario’s under live fire conditions full PPE and SCBA requirements. Students should bring a minimum of three cylinders for their SCBA on Sunday. Students should bring lunch and plenty of water to keep hydrated both days.
Cost is $150 per student.
