WVPST is pleased to announce a Rope Rescue Awareness & Operations class February 24, 2025-March 8, 2025 in Fayette County.

When: 2/24/25-3/8/25
2/24/25 – 1800-2200 Ansted FD
2/26/25 – 1800-2200 Fayetteville FD
3/3/25 – 1800-2200 Ansted FD
3/5/25 – 1800-2200 Fayetteville FD
3/8/25 – 0800-1700 Burnwood FD

Time: 1800-2200 on Mondays and Wednesdays and 0800-1700 on Saturday

Where: Ansted VFD (96 Church St., Ansted, WV 25812)

Instructor: Mike Gray & Tracey Gray

Tuition: $75

Class Size: 20 seats each class

The rope rescue awareness/operations course is to be taught in a 24-hour format and cover the material and skills for NFPA 1006 Chapter 5 JPR’s 5.1.1 through 5.1.5 and 5.2.1 through 5.2.24, and High-Angle Rope Rescue Techniques 4th edition chapters 1-8, 11-13 and 16-18.

Equipment needs: Helmets, Gloves (not fire gloves), above ankle boots, and Safety Glasses

Please practice basic knots prior to coming to class!
