WVPST is pleased to announce a Hazardous Materials Operations Class class.

Where: Wood County Training Center (2311 Camden Ave., Parkersburg, WV 26101)

When: December 14, 17, 19, & 21, 2024

Time: 1800-2200 Tuesdays and Thursdays and 0800-1700 Saturdays

Instructor: Jason Fleak and additional Wood County Instructors

Tuition: $55/person

Textbook: $81/book (if needed)

The 34-hour Hazardous Materials Awareness/Operations class meets NFPA 470, 2022 edition including product control and PPE. Participants learn defensive operations and decontamination techniques. The text is Jones and Bartlett “Hazardous Materials Awareness and Operations” 4th Edition and the Emergency Response Guidebook. The class may also use the supplement for 4th Edition Firefighter textbook or 4th Edition Premier Firefighter textbook. IFSAC Testing is available.
