Hazardous Materials Awareness/Operations

The 34-hour Hazardous Materials Awareness/Operations class meets NFPA 1072, 2017 edition including product control and PPE.  Participants learn defensive operations and decontamination techniques.  The text is Jones and Bartlett “Hazardous Materials Awareness and Operations” 2nd Edition and the Emergency Response Guidebook.  The class may also use the Firefighter textbook.

Class is being held at Craigsville VFD and will begin on Friday, April 30, 2021 at 6:00 pm. Instructor is Jeff White.

Class dates are as follows:

4/30/2021 – 6:00 pm – 10:00 pm (Awareness portion)

5/1/2021 – 9:00 am – 5:00 pm

5/2/2021 – 9:00 am – 5:00 pm

5/7/2021 – 6:00 pm – 10:00 pm

5/8/2021 – 9:00 am – 5:00 pm
