Description: The goal of G0191 is to enable the students to develop an effective
interface between the Incident Command/Unified Command and the Emergency
Operations Center by applying National Incident Management System principles.
Course objectives include explaining the course structure and potential ICS/EOC
interface challenges; explaining key NIMS concepts, command and coordination
systems, and structures; analyzing given scenarios to determine commonalities
and potential interface issues between ICS and EOCs; explaining the respective
roles and interconnectivity of the NIMS command and coordination systems in
coordination; contrasting the typical role and functions of the Incident Command
and the EOC during emergency operations; analyzing given scenarios to apply
ICS/EOC interface concepts; developing an ICS/EOC interface action plan for your
community; and summarizing the course objectives.
Prerequisites: FEMA IS-100, IS-200, IS-700, IS-800, and IS-2200
