POSTPONED – Firefighter 1

The start date for this class has been postponed due to inclement weather. The start date for the class is now Monday, January 13, 2025 at 6:00 pm.

There will be a Fire Fighter 1 course offered at Beaver VFD starting Tuesday, January 7, 2025 at 6:00 pm Monday, January 13, 2025 at 6:00 pm. The full course schedule will be discussed at this meeting.

The 120-hour Fire Fighter 1 class meets NFPA 1001, 2019 edition.  The class includes NFPA 1001 2019 FF 1 Standard, HazMat Awareness/Operations, and First Aid/CPR. The textbook is “Fundamentals of Fire Fighter Skills and Hazardous Materials Response 4th Edition” by Jones and Bartlett – WV custom cover W/Advantage Access.  Successful completion of this class provides the minimum requirements by the WV State Fire Commission to respond to fire calls.

There may be an additional supply fee charged after the participant has completed the live burn portion of the class.
Students must be at least 16 years of age on the start date of the class. There are a limited number of 20 seats available for this class. You must pre-register using the form below. This class may be cancelled if minimum enrollment numbers are not met.
