Emergency Vehicle Operations Course (EVOC)
EMERGENCY VEHICLE OPERATIONS COURSE – EVOC
This 16-hour course is being conducted at Jefferson County Emergency Services Agency.
Class dates are May 9, and 16, 2026
Times: 9am-5pm
Instructor: Craig Horn
In addition to didactic material and driving skills completed during the in class portion, students must be signed off by leadership within their department (Chief, Agency Director, Training Officer, etc.) after completion of a daily inspection exercise and operation of an emergency vehicle on a public roadway. Additional details on completing these activities will be provided during class. Certificates will only be issued after ALL requirements have been completed. Students are responsible for bringing copies of their prerequisites.
PREREQUISITES: Students must be at least 18 years old AND hold a valid driver’s license.
TUITION is $50 per student and the course textbook will be loaned during the class for a fee of $10.
