WV Public Service Training will be conducting an Emergency Medical Technician Initial course beginning January 7, 2025 at Grant County Ambulance. Classes will be held Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6pm – 10pm with weekend requirements as needed.
Hunter Whetzel will be the instructor.
All Students are required to have a laptop computer for class!

This 155 hour minimum program is the basic level of EMT care by the West Virginia Office of Emergency Medical Services. This class meets the National Standards Curriculum. The EMT candidate must successfully complete the program, complete required clinical time, complete the practical skills testing, and obtain a passing score on the computer-based National Registry exam. Recertification is required by National Registry every two years.
Upon successful completion of the course, you will be eligible to sit for the National Registry of EMTs exam. If seeking certification in a state other than WV, you will not need to complete the WV certification process/fees, and will simply need to pass practical testing and NREMT examination before proceeding with the certification process in your desired state.
Students MUST complete all requirements with a 70% to remain in the program and a strict 90% attendance policy will be upheld.
