Emergency Medical Responder (EMR)
This course emphasizes the skills needed to provide basic emergency care during the first phases of an emergency. The course is 72 hours of classroom and practical training in all aspects of initial response to a medical emergency. To receive certification by WVOEMS as a First Responder participants must successfully complete practical skills evaluations, and pass the computer-based National Registry cognitive (knowledge) test. Recertification is required by National Registry every two years.
Class is being held at BEST Ambulance. The class will start on August 14, 2021 and will be held on Saturdays from 9:00 am – 5:00 pm. Class will run every Saturday from 9am to 5pm with the exception of September 11 and October 2nd. Class dates are currently scheduled as follows:

Tuition is $150. Textbook is $105.
