This course will include some pointers on setting up a new program and discuss equipment considerations as well as training and SOG development. Also included will be a review of ICS pertaining to trail rescue incidents, review of basic immobilization practices, victim transport, basic rope procedures, special situations and more. The course will conclude with a hands-on scenario enabling the participants to apply/practice the skills in a real life scenario. The second day of class will be held outdoors. Participants should dress
according to weather and have PPE consisting of long pants, long sleeve shirt, protective gloves (extrication or
rope), safety glasses or goggles and head protection.
Class is being held at Matoka VFD. Class is April 22 – 23, 2023 at 8:00 am. Chad Cox is the instructor. You must pre-register.
