WVPST is pleased to announce a Water Rescue Technicians class.

When: April 24, 25, 26, & 27, 2025

Time: 1800-2200 on April 24 & 25; 0700-1900 on April 26 & 27

Where: Summers County VFD (80 Hinton Bypass, Hinton, WV 25951)

Instructors: CW Sigman & Others

Tuition: $55/person

This 30-hour class meets the Technician Level requirements of NFPA 1006 Chapters 16, 17, and 21. The textbook is “Water Rescue: Principles and Practice to NFPA 1006 and 1670: Surface, Swiftwater, Dive, Ice, Surf, and Flood”, Second Edition. The same textbook is used for Water Rescue Awareness, Operations, and Technician.

Prerequisites include: Must pass swim test, Water Rescue Operations OR Water Rescue Level 1.
