West Virginia Public Service Training will be offering a WV Fire Fighter 1 course at New Haven VFD (2309 Jackson Ave., Point Pleasant, WV 25550).

Description: The 120-hour Fire Fighter 1 class meets NFPA 1001, 2019 edition. The class includes NFPA 1001 2019 FF 1 Standard, HazMat Awareness/Operations, and First Aid/CPR. The textbook is “Fundamentals of Fire Fighter Skills and Hazardous Materials Response 4th Edition” by Jones and Bartlett – WV custom cover W/Advantage Access. Successful completion of this class provides the minimum requirements by the WV State Fire Commission to respond to fire calls. IFSAC Testing is available.

Location: New Haven VFD (407 5th St., New Haven, WV 25265)

Dates: Thursdays, Saturdays, and Sundays (March 15, 16, 20, 23, 27, and 30) Additional dates to follow

Times: 1800-2200 on Thursdays and 0900-1700 on Saturdays and Sundays
