WVPST Beckley will be offering an on-line fire fighter 1 course with hazardous materials awareness/operations.  The course will use the Jones and Bartlett interactive for the on-line firefighting course.  Students will enroll through WVPST Beckley and they will be given a textbook and access to the Jones and Bartlett website for Fundamentals of Fire Fighter Skills Interactive. The cost of the course is $225 per student which includes the textbook and on-line access.

Practical dates for the course are listed below. All practical skills days will begin at 9:00 am and are being held at Beaver VFD. The live burn day has not yet been set; it will be held at Lewisburg VFD.

These are mandatory dates and you must attend all practical skills days as part of the course.

A mandatory orientation session will be held at the WVPST Beckley Office at 5:00 pm on December 1, 2021.  This is when students will receive the information for the course. Payment is due in full at the mandatory sign up session on December 1, 2021. Bring a check for $225 per student, made payable to SESC. No class materials will be issued without payment in full.

There will be an additional $50 supply fee after the student has completed the live burn training.
