This course emphasizes the skills needed to provide basic emergency care during the first phases of an emergency. The course is 72 hours of classroom and practical training in all aspects of initial response to a medical emergency. To receive certification by WVOEMS as a First Responder participants must successfully complete practical skills evaluations, and pass the computer-based National Registry cognitive (knowledge) test. Recertification is required by National Registry every two years.
Class will be held at Brenton VFD, starting on Monday, Sept 9 at 6:00pm. Instructor is Scott Daniels.
