EMT Recertification
Note: This class was originally scheduled to start on Saturday, August 26.
A 28-hour EMT Recertification Class will be held at Short Gap VFC starting Saturday, August 26, 2017 at 8:00 am. The class will meet Sun 8/27 8am to 4 pm, and additional dates to be determined by the instructor and participants. Test date TBD. Justin Ratcliff is the instructor. Course Fee is $50. Class will be cancelled if minimum enrollment number is not met.
Applicants must provide documentation of a minimum of 20 hours of Continuing Education, including MCI or Disaster Management related training including drills (2 hours), Annual HazMat Awareness training (8 hours), EMT BLS Protocol Review (4 hours), and an additional 6 hours of CE. Applicants must provide a copy of a current CPR Card. WVOEMS charges a $25 application fee for EMT recertification. Skills Evaluation form must be signed by Agency Medical Director.
