The U.S. Department of Homeland Security Office for Bombing Prevention presents “Bombing Awareness Prevention” at 167th Airlift Wing WV Air National Guard Base August 29, 2017, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm.
The Bombing Prevention Awareness Course (BPAC) provides participants knowledge of general bombing prevention measures from improvised explosive device (IED) construction and classification through protective measures for potential bombing incidents. It enhances the participant’s understanding of the IED threat and potential response picture that aids the participant in mitigating the impact of a bombing incident while considering time constraints of CI owner/operators and response personnel. This free course is designed for public and private sector CI owner/operators interested in or required to have a basic awareness of bombing prevention measures. Public safety personnel, Emergency Managers, law enforcement, and special event security personnel can also benefit from the course. For details see the links below for the class flyer and student instructions. Registration for the class will close on 7 August.
