EMT – Initial – Informational Session
WV Public Service Training will be conducting an informational meeting to gauge interest in an Emergency Medical Technician course on February 23, 2026 at the South Branch CTC. Again this is an informational meeting only. Class schedule will be discussed if there is enough interest in conducting the full class.
Instructors: Megan Goldizen
All Students are required to have a laptop computer for class!
Time: 6pm
This 155 hour minimum program is the basic level of EMT care by the West Virginia Office of Emergency Medical Services. This class meets the National Standards Curriculum. The EMT candidate must successfully complete the program, complete required clinical time, complete the practical skills testing, and obtain a passing score on the computer-based National Registry exam. Recertification is required by National Registry every two years.
Upon successful completion of the course, you will be eligible to sit for the National Registry of EMTs exam. If seeking certification in a state other than WV, you will not need to complete the WV certification process/fees, and will simply need to pass practical testing and NREMT examination before proceeding with the certification process in your desired state.
