FIREFIGHTER 1

This 120-hour course will be conducted at Spelter VFD, Spelter, WV (Harrison County). Class will begin on Tuesday, September 9, 2025 at 6:00pm.  Class will meet on Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 6-10pm, and then every other Saturday from 8am – 4pm.  The first Saturday class session will be September 13, 2025.  Live burn training will be scheduled at a date TBA.  Donald Scott is the lead instructor for the course.

TUITION/COSTS: Student cost $60 plus $50 supply fee. The “Fundamentals of Firefighter Skills” book will be available from the instructor at a cost of $80 each.

*Students must come to class each session with structural firefighting PPE (helmet, coat, pants, boots, gloves, nomex hood, and SCBA cylinder and face mask).  Gear must be in date in order to participate in the live burn training.
