DESCRIPTION:The West Virginia specific Auxiliary Communications (WV AUXCOMM
 ) course will assist amateurs/groups interested in emergency communication
 s in understanding the communication roles that are\nneeded in today’s e
 xpanding / collapsing Incident Command System (ICS) environment. Amateur r
 adio operators receiving this training will see how they can use amateur r
 adio experience to leverage State interoperability assets in assisting Eme
 rgency Communication Managers operating in ICS environments throughout Wes
 t Virginia.\nThis is a great opportunity for the West Virginia Amateur Rad
 io Community in support of our Federal\, State\, and Local First Responder
  Community.\n\nCourse Prerequisites\nThe course does require that students
  have some knowledge of the basics of the Incident Command System. This ba
 seline knowledge is gained by taking the\nfollowing courses as prerequisit
 es. Note that all courses listed below are free to all students and are ac
 complished through the web.\n1. IS-100\, Introduction to the Incident Comm
 and System (ICS)\, ICS-100\, (or any a\,b\,c version)\;\n2. IS-200\, Incid
 ent Command System (ICS) for Single Resources and Initial Action Incidents
 \, (or any a\,b\,c version)\;\n3. IS-700\, National Incident Management Sy
 stem (NIMS)\, An Introduction\, (or any a\,b version)\;\n4. IS-800\, Natio
 nal Response Framework (NRF)\, An Introduction\, (or any a\,b\,c\,d versio
 n)\n5. Active Amateur Radio License Technician Class or higher\n6. Prefera
 bly\, an affiliation with a public safety agency\, and a desire to work wi
