SUMMARY:Water Rescue Awareness/Operations
DESCRIPTION:A Water Rescue Awareness/Operations Course (34 hours) will be h
 eld at the Whitmer Volunteer Fire Department in Randolph County August 15\
 , 17\, 18\, 20\, &amp\; 29\, 2026.  Class will meet 7am - 5pm on weekend 
 dates and 5pm - 9pm on weekday dates.  Justin George is the lead instruct
 or.  This class meets the JPRs for NFPA 1006\, as well as the requirement
 s for IFSAC certification.  Students will be required to complete a swim 
 test to participate in the class.  Students should come "water ready" to 
 each class session.  PPE should include helmet\, PFD with integrated quic
 k release\, whistle\, water knife\, and skin protective clothing appropria
 te for water (wet suit\, dry suit\, or swimwear shorts and t-shirt dependi
 ng on temperatures for each class session).\n\nCourse pre-requisites are R
 ope Rescue awareness and operations or Rescue Core and Rope Rescue Level 1
 .\n\nCourse tuition is $120 per student.  The course textbook will be ava
 ilable at a cost of $85\, although is not required until the Technician le
