SUMMARY:Rope Rescue Technician
DESCRIPTION:This 20 hour rope rescue technician course (NFPA 1006\, 2021 Ed
 .) is being conducted at Winfield District VFD\, Fairmont\, West Virginia 
 (Marion County).  Class meets July 2\, 5\, 11\, 2026 from 6pm -- 10pm wee
 knights and 9am - 5pm weekends.  Michael Wilburn is the lead instructor.
   In order to take this course\, students must provide proof of certifica
 tion in Rope Rescue Operations or Ropes Level 1 or Rope Rescue Low/High An
 gle.  All students must come to class both days with attire and PPE appro
 priate for rope rescue tasks (long pants\, boots\, helmet\, eye protection
 \, gloves).  Structural firefighting PPE is not recommended for this cour
 se.  PPE\, and any gear (ie\, harness\, hardware\, etc.)\, is subject to 
 inspection and approval by the course instructor prior to being utilized i

 is $70 per student.  The textbook\, “Rope Rescue Principles and Practic
 e 5th Ed.” can be purchased from the instructor at a cost of $80 each. F

 SESC".  Course fees\, or a signed authorization to invoice a department/o
 rganization form (will be emailed to all that register)\, are due at the f
 irst class session.
