 our Rescue Core Prerequisites with Rope Level 1 course includes coverage o
 f the awareness level requirements found in the 2009 Edition of NFPA 1670\
 , Standard on Operations and Training for Technical Search and Rescue Inci
 dents\, as well as of the general job performance requirements found in Ch
 apter 5 of the 2008 Edition of NFPA 1006\, Standard for Technical Rescuer 
 Professional Qualifications. This course presents in-depth coverage of str
 uctural collapse\, confined space and trench rescue\, vehicle rescue\, and
  water and wilderness rescue\, allowing rescue organizations to approach a
 ny rescue situation safely and confidently. This course will prepare you f
 or further training in the more specialized and advanced skills necessary 
 in various technical rescue disciplines\, and is required prior to taking 
 any of the other technical rescue courses. Students successfully completin
 g this course will also obtain Rope Level 1 certification NFPA 1006\, 2008
  edition.\n\nThis course is being conducted at Nutter Fort VFD\, Nutter Fo
 rt\, West Virginia (Harrison County). Class dates are February 25\, 27\; M
 arch 2\, 4\, 6\, 11\, 12\, 13\, 15. Class times are 6:00 pm to 10:00 pm we
 ekdays and 8:00 am – 4:00 pm for the weekend class. Josh Tompkins is the
  instructor.\n\nREGISTER for this course during the first class session.\n
 \nTUITION is $45 per student. The textbook\, “Rescue Core Prerequisites
 ” will be loaned to the student for a $10 fee\, but it may be purchased 
 at a cost of $70 each.  Please make checks or money orders payable to "MS
 ESC" or "Mountain State Educational Services Cooperative".
