We examine search statistics \,forcible entry\, search techni ques\, locating victims and making the grab. You cannot perform adequately if you do not prepare properly. We will spend the first half of the class building foundational knowledge and maximize reps for each student. You c ould say we are breaking down the basics and growing our abilities. The se cond half of the class is where the heat will be turned on. Literally. Thi s portion will be real world scenarios that will challenge students to pus h themselves to their limits. The goal is to provide so much information\, reps\, skill\, and knowledge that when returning to their departments\, t hey can pass on the knowledge to make the difference in decreasing civilia n fire fatalities. The whole purpose of our job\, right? Students will per form forcible entry\, the 10% search and primary searches locating/removin g victims in zero visibility conditions. Students will encounter different floor surfaces and techniques that will make them successful in each scen ario. Only question left to ask. Are you ready to dive in?\n\nInstructor B io: Chris Kessinger has been a student of the craft for 17 years\, curren tly holding the role of Lieutenant with the City of Lebanon Division of Fi re. Chris serves as the lead instructor and owner of Citizens First Fire T raining in addition to the role of training officer/instructor for numerou s schools\, training facilities and departments. Chris has a deep passion for this job and making sure that the blue-collar traditions of our founda tion stay alive and well. As an active member for the Central Ohio Fools c hapter\, Chris is able to continually spread those traditions and keep our service headed in the right direction. His passion\, that one thing on th e job that drives his soul will always be with truck company operations. B e aggressive in throwing ladders\, aggressive in ventilation but most of a ll be aggressive in LOVING the job! Those core values are what Chris lives by.
