DESCRIPTION:West Virginia Public Service Training  will be hosting a PHTLS
  Course. The course will be held at the Hampshire County Health Department
 .\n\nDATES: March 7 and 8\, 2026\n\nTimes: 8am-4pm\n\nNAEMT's Prehospital 
 Trauma Life Support (PHTLS) is recognized around the world as the leading 
 continuing education program for prehospital emergency trauma care. The m
 ission of PHTLS is to promote excellence in trauma patient management b
 y all providers involved in the delivery of prehospital care. PHTLS is de
 veloped by NAEMT in cooperation with the American College of Surgeons' Co
 mmittee on Trauma. The Committee provides the medical direction and conten
 t oversight for the PHTLS program.\n\nPHTLS courses improve the quality of
  trauma care and decrease mortality. The program is based on a philosophy 
 stressing the treatment of the multi-system trauma patient as a unique ent
 ity with specific needs. PHTLS promotes critical thinking as the foundatio
 n for providing quality care. It is based on the belief that\, given a goo
 d fund of knowledge and key principles\, EMS practitioners are capable of
