 NAEMT’s Prehospital Trauma Life Support (PHTLS) is the world’s premi
 er prehospital trauma education developed in cooperation with the American
  College of Surgeons to promote critical thinking in addressing multi-syst
 em trauma and provide the latest evidence-based treatment practices.\n\nPH
 TLS courses improve the quality of trauma care in your area and decrease m
 ortality. The program is based on a prehospital trauma care philosophy\, s
 tressing the treatment of the multi-system trauma patient as a unique enti
 ty with specific needs. This may require an approach to the trauma patient
  that varies from traditional treatment modalities. PHTLS promotes critica
 l thinking as the foundation for providing quality care. It is based on th
 e belief that\, given a good fund of knowledge and key principles\, EMS pr
 actitioners are capable of making reasoned decisions regarding patient car
 e.\n\nThe PHTLS Hybrid Course combines 8 hours of online interactive\, web
 -based content\, followed by a one day\, 8 hour face-to-face session for s
 kill station instruction and evaluation. Students will be sent a code via
  email to access the online component of the course. Students are require
 d to have successfully completed the online content and examination prior
  to attending the in-person skill station instruction and evaluation.\n\nO
 n-line must be completed prior to class on Feb. 7\, 2020.\n\nClass cost is
  $75 which includes cost for online interactive\, web-based content\, must
