SUMMARY:EMT Blended Learning
DESCRIPTION:Online EMT\n\nWV Public Service Training (WVPST) will be conduc
 ting a blended learning course for initial Emergency Medical Technician (E
 MT) at the James Rumsey Technical Institute. This blended learning EMT cou
 rse will cover the content necessary for students to take the practical sk
 ills and written examinations for EMT certification. If you are a self-mot
 ivated\, goal-oriented student who enjoys being challenged\, then this is 
 a great educational opportunity. If you are looking for an easy route to E
 MT Certification\, then this course is NOT for you. Students must have a p
 ersonal e-mail account\, computer\, and high speed internet access.\n\nThe
  class will begin on Tuesday August 29\, 2017 at 7:00 pm at James Rumsey T
 echnical Institute\, 3274 Hedgesville Rd\, Martinsburg\, WV 25403. At this
  registration session students will obtain course materials and get enroll
 ed in the online class. Weekly sessions will be scheduled for hands-on tra
 ining. Students who do not attend all of these dates will not be eligible 
 to test. Students must complete the appropriate online course work prior t
 o attending hands-on sessions. Failure to complete assigned online coursew
 ork will result in being dismissed from the course.\n\nPreregistration is 
 required no later than August 22. Participants should bring payment to the
  registration session\, or bring billing information if the student’s sq
 uad is paying for the class. Class is limited to 30 students. A minimum of
  10 people must enroll or the class will be cancelled.\n\nThe course fee o
 f $600 includes textbook and on-line access. There is also a $35 fee for c
 lass materials and CPR. Please note that fees are non-refundable\, and are
  based on enrollment not completion of the course.\n\nOther costs associat
 ed with this course include a $50 application fee to WVOEMS. Optional Nati
 onal Registry testing fee is $80 (payable to NREMT).\n\nStudents must be a
 t least 16 years of age\, and have a High School Diploma or equivalent (or
