SUMMARY:EMT Blended Learning
DESCRIPTION:Online EMT\n\nWV Public Service Training (WVPST) will be conduc
 ting a blended learning course for initial Emergency Medical Technician (E
 MT) at the Romney Rescue Squad. This blended learning EMT course will cove
 r the content necessary for students to take the practical skills and writ
 ten examinations for EMT certification. If you are a self-motivated\, goal
 -oriented student who enjoys being challenged\, then this is a great educa
 tional opportunity. If you are looking for an easy route to EMT Certificat
 ion\, then this course is NOT for you. Students must have a personal e-mai
 l account\, computer\, and high speed internet access.\n\nThe class will b
 egin on Tuesday September 5\, 2017 at 6:00 pm at Romney Rescue Squad Cente
 r Ave\, Romney\, WV 26757. At this registration session students will obta
 in course materials and get enrolled in the online class. Weekly sessions 
 will be scheduled for hands-on training. Students who do not attend all of
  these dates will not be eligible to test. Students must complete the appr
 opriate online course work prior to attending hands-on sessions. Failure t
 o complete assigned online coursework will result in being dismissed from 
 the course.\n\nPreregistration is required no later than August 29. Partic
 ipants should bring payment to the registration session\, or bring billing
  information if the student’s squad is paying for the class. Class is li
 mited to 30 students.\n\nThe course fee of $600 includes textbook and on-l
 ine access. There is also a $35 fee for class materials and CPR. Please no
 te that fees are non-refundable\, and are based on enrollment not completi
 on of the course.\n\nOther costs associated with this course include a $50
  application fee to WVOEMS. Optional National Registry testing fee is $80 
 (payable to NREMT).\n\nStudents must be at least 16 years of age\, and hav
 e a High School Diploma or equivalent (or be enrolled in a program to get
