SUMMARY:L310 - Hurricane Readiness for Inland Communities
DESCRIPTION:Description\n\nIn 1972\, the remnants of Hurricane Agnes caused
  catastrophic inland flooding throughout the Mid-Atlantic\, making it the 
 costliest tropical cyclone in American history up to that time. Agnes is j
 ust one of several tropical systems to cause devastating inland flooding i
 n our region – a list that includes names like Lee\, Ivan\, Ida\, Diane\
 , Eloise\, Floyd\, just to name a few. This 1-day course is an introductio
 n to the National Weather Service forecast procedures and products dealing
  with the inland hazards of Hurricanes\, Tropical Storms\, Depressions\, a
 nd remnant systems. Topics include hurricane hazards\, flood observation\,
  and forecast products\, and inland evacuation decision-making processes a
 nd tools.\n\nTarget Audience\n\nThis course is intended for emergency mana
 gers and first responders responsible for developing or implementing hurri
 cane and/or inland flooding operations plans and procedures for inland com
