SUMMARY:Incident Safety Officer
DESCRIPTION:WVPST is pleased to announce the rescheduling of a 16-hour Inci
 dent Safety Officer class to be held at Cora VFD (28 Old Aldrich Br. Rd.\,
  Logan\, WV 25601) from 0900-1700 daily.\n\nDescription:  The Safety Offi
 cer’s responsibilities fall into two clear cut categories: those associa
 ted with responding at the incident scene\, and those associated with mana
 ging the day-to-day affairs of the department. The Incident Safety Officer
  (ISO) course is focused on the incident and the role the Safety Officer p
 lays as part of the Command Staff. The target audience is Company Officers
  who are experienced in firefighter safety issues and are familiar with an
  Incident Command System\, hazardous materials management\, and related em
 ergency operations. The program provides the student with the decision -ma
 king process and skills required to recognize unsafe acts and conditions a
 nd take appropriate corrective actions.\n\nCost: $35/student\n\nDates: Apr
