SUMMARY:Incident Safety Officer
DESCRIPTION:WVPST is pleased to announce a 16-hour Incident Safety Officer 
 class to be held at Barboursville VFD (721 Central Ave.\, Barboursville\, 
 WV 25504) from 0900-1700 daily.\n\nDescription:  The Safety Officer’s r
 esponsibilities fall into two clear cut categories: those associated with 
 responding at the incident scene\, and those associated with managing the 
 day-to-day affairs of the department. The Incident Safety Officer (ISO) co
 urse is focused on the incident and the role the Safety Officer plays as p
 art of the Command Staff. The target audience is Company Officers who are 
 experienced in firefighter safety issues and are familiar with an Incident
  Command System\, hazardous materials management\, and related emergency o
 perations. The program provides the student with the decision -making proc
 ess and skills required to recognize unsafe acts and conditions and take a
 ppropriate corrective actions.\n\nCost: $35/student\n\nDates: August 6 &am
