SUMMARY:IFSAC Fire Fighter II Testing
DESCRIPTION:WVPST Martinsburg Hosting IFSAC Certification Testing for Firef
 ighters\nIndividuals wishing to receive IFSAC certification through West V
 irginia Public Service Training must apply to attend a testing session and
  then successfully pass a written examination and demonstrate practical sk
 ills.  The next opportunity for IFSAC testing in West Virginia will be at
  the Berkeley Springs Fire Department.  Testing for Firefighter 1\, Hazar
 dous Materials Awareness\, and Hazardous Materials Operations will be admi
 nistered on April 7 and 8\, 2018.  Testing for Firefighter 2 will be admi
 nistered on April 13 and 14\, 2018.  The written tests will be administer
 ed on Saturday\, April 7 at 6:00 pm\, and Friday\, April 13 at 6:30 pm.  
 The practical skills assessments will be administered on Sunday\, April 8 
 and Saturday\, April 14\, starting at 9:00 am.  Anyone interested in test
 ing to receive the IFSAC certification must pre-apply.  There is a $25 fe

 tification.  International Fire Service Accreditation Congress (IFSAC) pr
 ovides certification to individuals who pass examinations based on Nationa
 l Fire Protection Association (NFPA) fire service professional qualificati
 ons.  IFSAC was founded to ensure the quality and continuation of a natio
 nal accreditation system for fire service certification programs.  After 
 an extensive application process and a site visit by IFSAC officials the W
 est Virginia Department of Education received accreditation from IFSAC for
  the six Public Service Training programs around the state.\n\nFor more in
